Lime Coconut Slice

Recipes/Blog Lime and coconut really are a match made in heaven. I’ve fallen in love with raw vegan desserts as I feel they are the healthiest version of a sugary treat, and I love that there are real, whole ingredients in them. This slice is a family favourite. It looks absolutely beautiful and it’s not

Chocolate Beetroot Cake

Recipes/Blog I’ve always loved making cakes, but more the traditional way with eggs and butter. As a plant-based eater, I’ve now made many cakes without eggs and butter, and they are good, but not always great.  Unless it’s a banana cake!  So, when I heard that beetroot worked well to keep the cake super moist,

Spaghetti alla Fi Fi

It Really Was Magical

IT REALLY WAS MAGICAL Last weekend was a perfect example of what it means to feel full, unconditional love.  And it really was magical.   I said “Yes” a few months ago to a Vegan Italian Foodies Retreat in The Mornington Peninsula.  I was drawn to it instantly and couldn’t think of a better way to

Red Lentil Dhal

Recipes/Blog Before I met my now-husband, which was about 22 years ago, I’d never explored the world of Indian cuisine.  Let’s just say I wasn’t an adventurous eater. If it wasn’t Italian, I just wasn’t that interested.  When I learned that my boyfriend and his family were Indian, and his mum was an incredible cook,

Hazelnut Chocolate Mousse Cake

Recipes/Blog I confess – I’m a chocolate addict. Anyone with me here? I eat it every day. I love dark chocolate the most and I love it combined with nuts, nut butter, coconut oil, goji berries, anything really! I grew up a Nutella kid! I mean didn’t we all? The creamy, smooth, chocolate nutty spread

Spinach and Pistachio Pesto

Recipes/Blog My intention today was to make a classic vegan pesto. I was making a tomato bruschetta for dinner and wanted to add some lashings of pesto to the bruschetta. I’m a cook that doesn’t really measure as I go, I love to free pour and most of the time it works. On this particular

Mondays have always been my absolute favourite day of the week. There’s something that excites me about waking up on a Monday. Perhaps it’s the

When you lose yourself in something….

I spent my Friday morning in the kitchen creating new recipes as I do every Friday, and this particular morning as I wiped the bench a wave of deep emotion and gratitude moved over me. I remained paralysed at the bench and my eyes welled with tears. What is going on I asked myself? I sat with it and let myself feel this emotion. And then as quickly as it came it left and I was left with a deep sense of gratitude. I get to spend every Friday doing what brings me joy, what fills my soul and nourishes my heart.
